Final Project Proposal
In 2018 for my senior year spring break, my parents and I took a week trip to Disney World. This was not my first trip to Disney, but it was my first extended stay there. Throughout the trip I made sure to document anything that caught my eye. I found that each theme park had its own story to share with visitors. Over the years since the trip, these photos have sat on Dropbox without being touched. My plan is to use this project to rejuvenate these images as these are images that I am (mostly) proud of and enjoy looking back on. While looking through Printed Matter, I found a book by Philippe Durand titled Philippe Durand: Inner Space (https://www.printedmatter.org/catalog/60059). This book includes different natural land formations but the color of the images are distorted. This book gave me the idea to do this to my Disney World photos as the landmarks at the theme parks are man-made. Another book that has inspired me is What is Photography by Paul John (https://www.printedmatter.org/catalog/59974). To me it looks like he overlapped images on top of each other. I have a lot of the same images from the trip so this may be an idea that I will play with.
